Hardware quesiton connecting 2 computers via USB

I need to connect 2 backup devices (linux based) together via USB (eg
USB A to USB A). To do this I need a USB bridged cable. I was wondering
if the Belkin Easy Transfer cable would work. I can get the proper cable
from other sources, but that requires me to fill out an expense report
where if I order this from staples it is just telling the receptionist
to order it. I generally don't like Belkin stuff, but I was wondering if
anyone has any experience specifically with this Belkin device.
