__Reilly rallies opposition to Microsoft settlement__

_Boston._ With Massachusetts as one of nine states resisting the Justice
Department's settlement with Microsoft, Attorney General Thomas Reilly
is calling on consumers to make their feelings known before the court
accepts the settlement.

Reilly says there is still time to change the settlement, which he
maintains doesn't adequately address Microsoft's monopoly powers and
fails to restore competition and innovaton in the software industry.

Comments will be accepted until Jan. 28 and should be sent to
microsoft.atr at usdoj.gov. Details of the DOJ settlement are at
http://www.usdoj.gov/atr/cases/ms-settle.htm .
