Job Description:
The Managed Services Unix/Linux Systems Administrator is a member of the Managed Services team and is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and support of Unix/Linux-based Operating systems predominantly in complex Oracle environments with systems supporting mission-critical services running on a global network serving hundreds to thousands of end users.  This person supports the deployment of new environments, troubleshooting issues, perform run and maintain procedures, makes recommendations for improving stability and performance.

Skill set:

*         Has consulting experience and can multitask in a fast paced environment

*         Has been operating in a System Administrator capacity

*         Expert, hands-on knowledge of the Linux Operating System (RHEL Preferred), i.e. Linux guru/geek

o   In depth knowledge of Virtualized Linux System Configuration/Administration

o   In depth knowledge Oracle on Linux preferred

*         Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of shell scripting skills (i.e. Bash)

*         Strong interpersonal skills

*         Strong process improvement and documentation skills

*         Experience working in a Managed Services company preferred, but not required

*         Experience building servers and also doing it remotely

Job Type:
Full-time, Direct Hire

Compensation:
$110K, negotiable
