The short answer is "No". The Apple book reader cannot read Kindle books
natively. It is possible to scrape off the Kindle DRM from a Kindle book, and
to convert the output of that to a format that the Apple book reader can read,
but the process is non-intuitive and must be performed on an actual computer;
it cannot be performed from the iPad directly.
