[Discuss] can one safely login multiple times to the same user on a modern Linux desktop?

A personal computer in one's own home is not at all comparable to a
workstation in an open cluster which is the kind of environment under
discussion. I refer you to my opinions about physical security and
passwords on post-it notes from a previous discussion.
