[Discuss] [OT] how to disable Gmail's filtering of duplicate messages?

I have also looked into this, and I don't think it's possible. The reason I looked into it is because people will often do things like send themselves email to test email, but in gmail, under *some* conditions, which are unclear, a message won't get delivered to yourself, because they figure, if it's in your Sent folder, that's good enough.

I *think* if you send yourself a message directly, you receive it in your inbox. But if you send it to yourself via a distribution list, then it doesn't appear in your inbox. As far as I know, there's no possible way to change that.

If you find something, please be sure to post back here.
