Position Summary:
The Senior Linux Systems Administrator will be a key member of the Systems Operations team, supporting a growing company through Linux server administration, clustered systems configurations and network planning to support an exciting and dynamic company with an energetic start-up culture. We are on the bleeding edge of technology and need a dynamic, flexible and intelligent team member to help us reach the next level.

Key Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
?
????????? Administration of a production data center installation with AWS and EC2 cloud deployments
????????? Collaborate with team members on the monitoring, troubleshooting and expansion of production systems, both in the cloud and data center
????????? Work with other senior administrators to develop the technical infrastructure of ChoiceStream systems operations for both cloud and data center
????????? Automate deployment processes and server builds
????????? Mentor less experienced team members
????????? Design and deploy Nexenta based storage solutions
????????? Participate in 24/7 on-call schedule to ensure smooth operation of all systems
????????? Assist in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
????????? Work cooperatively across the organization to identify and implement new ideas
????????? Administer open source solutions such as Hadoop, Cassandra, Storm, Rabbit MQ and more
?
Requirements:
The job requires a self-directed team player with a strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal/communication skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities.? Qualifications include:
??????????5 plus years of working with production Linux systems, preferably CentOS or other Red Hat derivatives
????????? Experience with maintaining production datacenter systems and networks
????????? Good understanding of security best practices
????????? Knowledge of host monitoring and network security
????????? Advanced scripting knowledge with Bash or Perl or Python
????????? Broad experience with open source solutions
?
Experience with any or all of the following is a plus:
????????? Big data technologies such as Cassandra, Hadoop and HBase
????????? MySQL administration
????????? Experience with event-driven job scheduling
????????? Load balancing technologies such as A10, Netscaler or F5
?
