No, this was not made clear.

Anyway, I'd look at an architecture overhaul because the full active 
directory stack seems like overkill. If the programs run with WINE then 
you can get rid of Windows entirely and with it SMB shares. Use Netatalk 
for the Macs and NFS for everything else.
