[Discuss] Ubuntu Install Question

We do a number installs and most of the advice given above is good. I
personally use Fedora, but I always check multiple versions of Ubuntu for
our installfests. Ubuntu 18.04 should support that configuration. On a dual
boot situation, 18.04 should install with secure boot turned on. I found
that if you turn off secure boot, you can install older versions of ubuntu
but Windows will only boot with secure boot on.

I had my current laptop triple booted with Fedora 28 and Ubuntu 17.10.

Additionally both Ubuntu and Fedora support dual boot. They will recognize
the installed Windows 10 and will resize Windows for you. Unfortunately we
don't have an installfest scheduled yet. The Natick FOSS meets the first
Thursday of every month at the Natick Senior center. They schedule the
meeting at 3PM, but a premeeting is scheduled at 2PM for those who might
need some personal help. Usually a couple of us are there at about 2PM. The
next meeting is Thursday Decwember 6th.
