Fellow Hackers,

As I recall from our last meeting, there is some confusion as to how
to remap the keyboard on linux. Just to clarify, there are three ways to
do this.

	1) Kernel configuration
	2) Terminal Driver Configuration (limited to special keys)
	3) X window configuration

The file tsx-11.mit.edu:/pub/linux/doc/HOWTO/mini/Backspace will explain
how to do this for the kernel, XFree86 (NB. Use `xev' to find out what keycode
the backspace key is sending), emacs, and xterm. It also mentions
the `stty' terminal driver configuration program which can be used from
programs like `bash' ect.
