We discussed this at the volunteers meeting on May 24, as an idea for
a summer social event. Everyone there was enthusiastic about it, and
we'd hoped to firm up plans within a week or two, so we'd have some
substantial plans to announce at the June meeting.

We had a number of people volunteer to manage several aspects of
the event. The fellow who I thought volunteered to find a location
for the barbeque had scribbled down his name an email address on the
attendance list, and I was unable to decypher it to contact him.

So as of now, we have no location defined. I thank Robert Luoma for
reminding me to follow up on the plans; we do need a volunteer to
find a good spot for the event, and to contact the right people
to get permission.
