Request for assistance

  I have the same problem with a video chip built into the motherboard 
(Dell PC); it's an S3 chip, but I can't get any more information from the 
BIOS and I can't see it inside the PC (the documantation is not model 
specific.) Is there any chance a bad specification can damage the board?
