Windows 95 problem

I have installed a two year old version of Slackware Linux. The operating
was DOS 6.1. After a struggle getting Linux to recognize my CD (Sony 33A on
port 0x320), I solved the problem using LOADLIN with the appropriate
arguments. I could not use LILO because the driver for my large hard driver
has taken residence in my MBR. I would get a message using LOADLIN that
memory was tight, but it worked. I subsequently loaded Windows 95 onto my
system and I now get a message that there is not enough memory to load the
kernel. I thought "OK, Windows 95 is a pig, I'll just boot from a DOS 6.1
boot floppy and run LOADLIN from there". The same error message. Does
anyone out there have a suggestion?

Thanks

Karl
