Red Hat Install of 2.1 vice 4.0

The install process for old versions of Red Hat Linux was quite slow,
mostly due to performance problems in RPM (Red Hat's package manager),
which was written in Perl in those days.  It has since been replaced with
a much faster version written in C.  Speed of your CD-ROM drive wasn't
much of a factor with the old version, but will speed up installation of
the current one.
