LinuxCon plans on hold

Jon;

It looks like the Boston LinuxCon isn't happening this fall; Kathleen
Lynch decided she didn't have time to lead the show team, and we don't
have the volunteers to get the ball rolling. at this point, the planned
date of the event is barely six months away, so I'm gonna call it off for
this year.

I'd still like to see this happen eventually. Can you find someone who'd
be interested in leading a show team, to put this thing together? I figure
we should have a full year of lead time to prepare, so we'd probably be
looking at late spring 1998 for the event. I see this as being a fairly
small show, to make it manageable; perhaps on the scale of the old BCS
Megameeting, or a bit smaller.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on this.
Thanks.
