Disk partitioning and swap

There is an advantage of having small, multiple partitions where the
filesystem used is FAT16, though, if you need to share access to the
filesystems with DOS and MS Windows.  Efficiency of storage is one
factor, and other factors may vary depending on how your system is set
up to boot DOS/Windows--location and size of boot partitions.
