Video Card / Monitor Recommendations

Not _entirely_ true. I just grabbed the latest drivers from
http://www.nvidia.com/Products.nsf/htmlmedia/software_drivers.html (click
accept and then on the penguin) last night. X is a lot snappier (and better
looking) and I was running the demos that came with MESA just last night. ;)

If you're constrained to PCI I'd go with Derek's recommendation. You'll get
better performance with a decent 2D card and a Monster II or a Banshee than
you would with a plain TNT, and TNT2 only comes in AGP flavors.
