On a couple of occasions I've had Office 97 crash _while_ saving my file.
You would think it would be able to read/write it's own format reliably...
Naturally, it saved without doing a backup first, so I lost half the
document, wasting it and 1/2 days work.

I don't want to even get into NT becoming unsalvageable because of corruption
of the registry.  It was part of a normal uninstall; machine was fine until
it was time to reboot.  Wasted 1.5 days to rebuild my notebook.
