The LinkSys Cable/DSL router I mentioned was the BEFSR41. It 
essentially serves as a firewall. There are some advantages to using a 
device like this in that you are placing all your home computers behind 
the firewall. I think one of the disadvantages is that you may not be able 
to update this as firewall technology improves. As I mentioned, the 
Linksys device was being sold for $151 at Amazon.com. It also serves 
as a hub or switch for other computers on your net so you do not need 
another hub or switch.
