XFF 4.0.1 bug?

Does anyone know if there is a cursor bug in XFree96 4.0.1? (or maybe
it's the 
Voodoo 3 DRI driver)  My cursor just turned into a big square of random
dots...
(loging out and back in fixed it)  From a developer POV it looked like
the sprite data
for the cursor got corrupted.
