Might also be the video cables.  I have a Belkin Omniview at work, and I
spent the extra money and effort to get SVGA compatible cabling. 
Tracking the part numbers down was a bit of a pain, though.  Belkin
doesn't sell them direct to individuals (I don't even know what kind of
KVM you have, but anyway), but they helped me figure out what I needed,
and directed me to a reseller.
