Whoa!  If the behavior is *consistent* between the two machines, that means
you should eliminate the *common* components.  Take that switch out *first*,
then assess your monitor's condition.

If the problem remains when your monitor is hooked up DIRECTLY to a known
good PC, then consider basic maintenance such as degausing, convergence, etc.
before replacing it.

I've had good luck with refurbished units:  if you're interested, check
Pricewatch.com.  Why pay $500 when you get the same warranty for ~$200?
