Web Cam Support...

I've been running Linux (Redhat 5.0 - 6.1) for a couple years now. I still have only one use for Windows, and if I can find a Linux solution I can finally format that partition as EXT2 and be done with Windows for ever.

I have a 3-Com PCI video capture card with a cam hooked up to it. I run a webcam on my home page from time to time. I have found lots of info on getting a parallel port Quick Cam working with Linux, but nothing about my PCI card.

I may have to accept that 3-com will not support Linux any time soon. I am willing to buy a new Cam, but unwilling to get a Quick Cam. I think USB would be my only solution.

Are there any HOW-TOs I should look into? Has anyone had any luck getting video capture cards to work with Linux?

Thanks,
Mark Tolman
