Editing Macros. Emacs was originally written as
a set of TECO macros around 1975.
Of course, vi-lovers invent amusing ones like:
Eighty Megs And Constantly Swapping
ESC-Meta-Alt-Ctrl-Shift
etc., etc., blah, blah.... :)

List Processing. At one point, I was writing an Elisp
tutorial. I got most of the Lisp part mostly done, but
didn't get around to the Emacs part. The half-complete
version is at http://physics.bu.edu/~slanning/elisp_tutorial
There I go into detail about why Lisp is all about lists.
