Yeah, but it it takes quite a lot of user configuration.

What you do is:  Fill a large pot half full of water,  and  turn  the
burner  on  underneath  it.   Toss  in  the  CDs  from  an  old linux
distribution that you don't want to use any more.  Cut up and add:
   1 or 2 large onions
   1 lb potatoes
   2 or 3 celery stalks, cut into small pieces
   1 or 2 bell peppers
   (and similar quantities of other veggies you may have on hand)
   salt and pepper to taste
   some chopped cilantro, parsley or mint is also good

Bring to a boil and simmer for 20-30 minutes.  Voila!  Linux soup.

You might want to discard the CDs before serving. Or dry them and use
them as placemats under your bowls.

AOL CDs also work, as do stones.
