a thousand apologies / mysql viability, again

As we discussed on this very list (I think) a few weeks back, Outlook
sends all of my messages in both HTML and plain text, even though the
appropriate Tools->Options ("Mail Format" tab) field is set to "Plain
Text". I have to remember to send all my mailing-list messages
through Netscape....

Anyway, I wanted to say:

If one is looking for a fast free database with limited features,
under what circumstances would cdb (http://cr.yp.to/cdb.html) be
useful? Dan Bernstein uses this in qmail and some of his other
programs; I could imagine someone using it for a weblog.
