I've done it by highlighting the URL whereever it is, then center
mouse clicking in the Netscape location bar (XDND?).  Never had
problems with it.  Can't answer the rest of the questions, as I don't
normally use KDE.  However, I believe Janet Leigh was an actress back
in the 40's / 50's?  (I recall some name like that in those old movies).
