Since a few people have mentioned this now, I figured I'd give my
input. My home DSL in Bedford was switched this morning, and was a very
painless process. I had ~25-30 ms ping times to my gateway with the NY
PoP and have the same ping times now with the Boston PoP, but am
actually getting the full bandwidth that I had in the past on my
608/128kbps line, being no longer in an overbooked PoP. I've had my
pings go up to ~250-300 ms a couple of times, but sending an email to
support asking them to reprovision my line (usually dropping it down
from 6 hops to 4) always brought it back to 30 ms to my gateway. I'd
suggest that, if it hasn't been done already.
