Changing the default boot (OS) in LILO ?

Neither. I don't know what you have set up for a filter. Programs such as 
a2ps have defaults. A2ps for one defaults to A4 paper, which is slightly 
longer than standard US letter (8.5x11). If you are using lpr, then check 
the filter that is being used. If you are using ghostscript, check the 
defaults and force it to letter.
