I mailed that correction this morning, then made a careless blunder that
deleted all of today's incoming mail. So I can't read your replies to the
note I sent yesterday. Is there an archive?

I trust my life will improve when I get my new Linux system going (real
soon now). I'm currently running DOS because my need for speech-recognition
means I'm restricted for practical purposes to MS operating systems, and
with GNU ports DOS can be made to look enough like Unix to be a tolerable
working environment. My new world will have two PCs sitting side by side
on my desk, one running Linux and the other running DOS or eventually
Windows and doing nothing but speech recognition and terminal emulation.

It offends my sense of Yankee thrift to use a GHz machine to do a VT100's
job. Fortunately a GHz isn't as big as it used to be.

I'm sure I'll be calling on you all for help as the project goes along.
