Run the gpg --fingerprint command with your keyid, like so:

[mbrodeur at maybe mbrodeur]$ gpg --fingerprint 2cfe18a3
pub 1024D/2CFE18A3 2001-08-31 Matthew J. Brodeur <MBrodeur at NextTime.com>
     Key fingerprint = 9EBA 7F1E 42D1 7A43 5884 560C 73CF D615 2CFE 18A3

That will give you all the information you need to send. The
fingerprint is, simply, a way to verify that a key belongs to the right
person. While it is (technically) possible for a keyid to be duplicated,
it shouldn't be possible to generate two keys with the same keyid AND
fingerprint.
