Um, yes, this is true.  However, please remember that if you look back
at the original post, an instructor from Bentley was looking for a
utility that would allow his students to complete a homework
assignment by capturing the output of some commands.  I fail to see
how script is a violation of privacy when used in this manner.

If I was asked to write a C program, then run

./a.out 3
./a.out 4
./a.out 5

and capture the output as part of my homework submission, script would
seem ideal.
