ntpd on Red Hat

We have ipchains blocking everything but dns, http, https, smtp, and ssh.
Presumably we need to poke a new hole for ntp.

What port (or ports) does ntp use? Does it need tcp, udp, or both?
We'd probably want to restrict it to the particular ip addresses 
we'd be syncing the clock with.
