Red Hat is also set up to maintain an slocate database.  Meaning that you can usually search for something by typing `slocate something`.  Unless it's been recently installed and not picked up by the cron job that updates the database.  You can manually update the database by running `slocate -u` (as root) if you'd really like to be sure the database is up to date.
