OpenBSD 3.0 upgrade to 3.1

I have found that OpenBSD is a real pain to upgrade, you are better off
doing a reinstall. However, a few questions to ask:

1) are you using cvs'd source or the openssh tarball?
2) where did you unpack it?
3) did you apply the patch for openbsd 3.0?
