Linux-friendly ISPs?

If an ISP uses standard stuff, likely PPP (Point-to-Point Protocol),
then Linux will work fine--and likely it will work fine with your
current ISP.

Unless, however, you use AOL or MSN (I think), then you need to deal
with their special protocols, and there is no Linux support for that.

If you go to DSL then the question becomes more subtle, but you said
dial-up...  (blech)

What is your current ISP?  Are they decent for you in general?
