Spam prevention and privacy on list

Hi,

Since I've been so successful with getting help on analyzing my network
traffic, I thought I'd ask what the Linux crew recommends for reading
their email and filtering spam (and yes, I did read dsr's message from
8/24).

I noticed that this list's archives are open to the public and email
addresses are not obfuscated (nor are home addresses apparently). Does
this concern anyone? I get an enormous amount of spam. This address is
listed on some web sites, but with some of my more private email aliases,
I'm not sure where they're harvesting the information.

Also, is anyone interested in having a Subject prefix (e.g. [BLU]) on the
list messages to help with their mail? I'm on quite a few lists and
having the prefix helps me scan my email quickly (I like to glance over
everything quickly before sorting it into folders). Obviously, I am new
to the list, so forgive me if this has been discussed previously.

Ilane
