RedHat announced they were not going to support Alpha or SPARC
architectures any more.

On the other hand, I think the installed base of Red Hat Alphas is much
larger than the installed base of Debian Alphas.

On the gripping hand, anyone who buys it from you will be reloading
their own OS from scratch, so they just want to know that it is in good
shape.

I would leave OSF/1 running on it, unless you are planning on getting
more use out of it before selling it.
