Actually I tried the opposite, creating a set of -wlan0 files on the new 
machine.  But that seems to have failed.  Attempting to run "ifup 
wlan0" just returns me a shell, no errors or anything.  Makes me think 
I missed a file.  Of course, iwconfig says that only eth0 is 
registered as a wireless device so I guess wlan0 is unknown.

I'll try it the other way. Thanks!
