seems to be getting better.  The calls are slowly starting again,  however
most seem to have quit looking in the consulting arenas as it's just too damn
volatile.  A few guys have left the industry, others have secured "9-5" type
jobs, but the majority are still looking.

On a related note, I'm heading out of the (ahem) self-employed arena starting
Monday; after 7 separate interviews and the background check from hell, I
secured a position as a Senior Security Analyst for a 'Large Financial.'

So it would seem for some the view is changing, while for others the
landscape is still quite bleak.
