Fedora, Alsa, and SPDIF

I was able to get sound working but not thru the SPDIF digital output on my Shuttle SN41G2 (nVidia nForce chipset + Intel 810 sound chip)  Sounds play fine thru the headphone jack.  Maybe my system is using OSS instead of ALSA?  Help!

Here are some error messages and other configuration details:
