Hi Karina,

I'd like to second Derek's advice -- Fedora Core 3 is a good all-around
choice and runs nicely on many ThinkPads.  I use FC3 on my T42p and many
friends and co-workers run it on their ThinkPads, Dell Inspirons, etc.

I expect that Fedora Core 4 will also be a good distro.  I've been using
the FC4-test releases on a few machines and, so far, am pleased with it.
The official FC4 release is tomorrow (June 13th) so you might consider
using it:
