Laptop batteries

I bought a couple of laptop batteries on ebay.  They weren't
advertised as new (indeed, they were specifically advertised as
"non-refurbished").  They seem to have lost 8~9% of their capacity.
Anyone have any idea how good this is?  Do these likely have a
reasonable lifetime ahead of them?
