If you're a Comcast customer, I wouldn't attempt to host any kind of
website, even if SSL: Comcast has been blocking port 80 on a random basis,
and there's no telling if/when you'll get cut off, because it happened to
me.

I'll echo the other comments: just find a provider who supports your
software. The easiest way to do that is to have a development area on your
client's machine, with appropriate security to keep out the curious.
