The time I decided I needed to use a different password for every
single account I have was after the ssh exploit of a few years ago was
broken into on an unmaintained server--on a non-standard port.

Use good passwords (don't reuse them), and then don't worry.  Go ahead
and add obscurity, but don't count on it.
