Hi Mark,

At work, we're rather fond of Fedora.  We use it on almost everything
including laptops, desktops, web servers, NFS servers, cluster nodes,
etc.  So it certainly can be done.

And given your RPM background, it should be mighty familiar to you.

The only real downside we've experienced with Fedora is the need for
relatively frequent updates.  Unlike RHEL, it follows the "release
early, release often" approach.  For some folks, thats a nightmare, for
some its an acceptable annoyance, and for others it can even be a
blessing (some folks want to live closer to the bleeding edge).
