I agree here. I found that out a couple of years ago and had set up a 
mailertable when sending to AOL (and other AOL sites like netscape). Mail 
to those sites went to blu.org, mail to comcast sites went through 
smtp.comcast.net, and the rest was direct. More recently I simply use a 
smarthost.
