What laser printers do you like?

I have a Brother HL-2700CN. It's a networked color laser. It is a
bit above your price range but with rebates and discounts, I think it
was in the $350-$400 range. Their models without color will
certainly fall in your range. The HL-2700CN is advertised to work
with Linux, Windows and MacOS. I am having problems under Mac OS X
but I haven't had the time to diagnose it. I initially had problems
printing PDFs from Windows XP but have since fixed that after a call
to their tech support. BTW - Unlike many vendors lately, their tech
support was good.
