I don't know (although there are some huge companies like GoDaddy, who were
switching part of their servers from Linux to Windows NT), but I cannot
then imagine endless frustration of people in Redmont over all those
M$-free servers and HOWTOs how to get rid of Windows, and so they decided
that "We will write our own HOWTO for that one client who wants to get rid
of their Linux installation."

Actually, the church where I attend (http://www.cambridgevineyard.org) got
into this situation. They got installed mail server with Debian and exim
for all their mailing needs, but the guy who installed that to them moved
back home to the South Africa, and they find that actually Outlook just
doesn't work well with free software (unless some amount of hacking is
involved, which they were not willing to pay for) and that it will be
easier for them to run MS Exchange server as well (no, I wasn't in the
position in the moment to persuade them to do otherwise) It is
unfortunately very much in line with what I would call American pragmatic
mentality -- "we will throw at the problem bigger pack of money, and it
will go away". Now, Outlooks don't complain about incompatibility with
Exchange, but I heard some rumours that some users have hard time to
understand (me too), why in the world they suddenly have limited amount of
mail they could store on the server before their profiles crash ;-).

Oh well,

Matěj
