Ubuntu question UTC vs. localtime.

I really don't care if he runs ntpd or not. The issue that I was trying to 
solve was the hardware clock issue. 

Another issue he has is with his wireless driver. I had him rmmod bcm43xx 
and set up ndiswrapper and his interface came up satisfactorily.
